- Brands You Ought to Know: ColourPop
- Brands You Ought to Know: Milani Cosmetics
Anytime I find I product that is affordable and offers great quality, I want to share the love with you. Brands are killing it this year with product launches so I’m starting a series titled, ‘Brands You Ought to Know’.
WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW THEM
Based out of Los Angeles, California, this Indie brand has become even more popular thanks to social media. They promote exclusively using their Instagram account which boasts 2.1 million followers. They even have a fan club that someone started called ColourPop Cult which is dedicated to swatching and showcasing dupes versus other brands. Speaking of dupes, they have over 80+ shades available in their Ultra Matte Lip line alone, not counting the Ultra Satin Lip and Lippie Stix line. ColourPop is a great option if you don’t want to shell out $20+ bucks on a lip color. I guarantee you, you can find the same color with them.
Whenever ColourPop launches a new product, you can always find color swatches on various skin tones. This is one of the reasons I love this brand – in addition to their amazing products.
Made in the USA, their products are also cruelty free and they don’t do any animal testing.
PRODUCTS OFFERED + PRICE POINT
ColourPop’s claim to fame is they will offer you luxury products at affordable price points. Each product will cost you less than $8 each. The liquid lipsticks are $6. All Lippie Stix and lip liners are $5. (I love the fact that for each lip color, they created a lip liner to match).
Love eye shadows? The creamy formulas are only $5, while the gel liners will set you back a whopping $6. Pencil eye liners are $5. New to the ColourPop family are the eye brow pencils ($5) and eye brow colour gels ($6).
ColourPop also has you covered where your cheeks are concerned. Blush, bronzer, and highlighters are the most expensive items they carry at $8 a pop.
WHERE TO BUY
The ColourPop brand is only available on their website, colourpop.com. To save $5 off of your first purchase, be sure and sign up for their e-mail list.
Have you ever tried any ColourPop products? If not, are you interested in trying them in the future? Let me know in the comments below. I would love to hear from you.
